ABE CERTIFICATION: AVDB EXCELLENCE BACKED BY GERMAN PRECISION

Since 2011, AVDB Moto has established itself as a trusted name for riders seeking accessories that combine style and performance. Today, we are taking things to the next level by aligning with the highest European standards: our brake and clutch levers are now ABE-certified (Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis), officially approved by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).

More than just a certification, this approval reflects our deep commitment to safety and technical excellence. By joining the exclusive circle of manufacturers validated under strict German standards, we guarantee every rider an exceptional component, tested to deliver absolute reliability both on the road and on the track.

Technical Excellence: A No-Compromise Certification Process

Obtaining the prestigious German certification is far from a simple administrative step—it is a long-term industrial commitment requiring full transparency and uncompromising technical rigor.

For AVDB Moto, this journey represents years of development and rigorous audits to ensure your safety. We chose not the easiest path, but the path of excellence.

Phase 1: Accreditation by the KBA (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt)

The KBA is Germany’s federal authority for motor transport and the only body authorized to certify technical compliance within the country.

In-depth initial evaluation : Starting in 2019, we launched complex assessment procedures requiring extensive technical documentation, developed in close collaboration with our production partners.

Managing global constraints : Despite administrative delays caused by the COVID-19 crisis, we maintained and updated all certification files to ensure continuity and validity of our process.

Phase 2: TÜV Industrial Audit

ABE certification is based not only on product validation but also on strict verification of company processes.

Full traceability : Our methods—from manufacturing to commercialization—have been audited by TÜV to ensure consistent and uncompromising quality.

Strength testing : Each component undergoes rigorous testing:
- Extreme resistance: torsion, breakage and material fatigue tests
- Machining precision: high-precision CNC finishing ensuring perfect compatibility and optimal feel

Achieving ABE certification proves that our levers have passed the most demanding tests in the European market. They are pushed to their limits in laboratories to ensure absolute reliability, even under extreme braking conditions.

Continuous Development

What began in 2023 with certification for our first 400 models has evolved into a global standard for our brand. By 2026, AVDB Moto reaches a new milestone with over 3,000 motorcycle models covered by ABE certification.

This expansion demonstrates our ambition to firmly establish ourselves among leading equipment manufacturers, capable of combining accessibility with high-level engineering.

Each certified lever model is now officially registered with German authorities—the benchmark for compliance in Europe.

Safety: Precision at Your Fingertips

The brake lever is the most critical component of your motorcycle. It is the direct link between your intent and the machine. While some low-cost brands compromise on aluminum density or machining precision, AVDB Moto does not. We deliver millimeter-perfect ergonomics and flawless responsiveness. This is quite literally quality at your fingertips: the feel of a high-performance component with the robustness required by German standards.

PREMIUM QUALITY, FINALLY ACCESSIBLE

Why pay €150 or €200 for a pair of levers? For the logo? Today, the debate is over: our levers offer the same certification, strength, and finish as the leading brands. The only difference? The price.

The real difference lies in the business model, not the product. By removing intermediaries and marketing costs, we prove that premium quality is not exclusive.

We make no compromises on quality or safety. With AVDB, you pay for engineering, not branding.

Technical Inspection: Ride with Total Peace of Mind

At AVDB Moto, we know that freedom is priceless for riders—but your safety deserves the best guarantees. With ABE certification, we don’t just offer an accessory—we offer administrative peace of mind.

With technical inspections now implemented across many European countries, vehicle compliance has become a key concern. Non-certified levers can result in inspection failure or even vehicle immobilization, depending on local regulations.

Total peace of mind: The engraved regulatory marking and ABE certificate serve as proof of compliance during inspections and roadside checks.

European compliance: ABE certification is recognized across Europe—ride confidently knowing your levers meet the strictest safety standards.

Zero stress: You no longer have to choose between customizing your bike and staying legal.

Shift up—you’re fully compliant.

The AVDB Commitment: Performance, Price, and Compliance Combined

When we began the certification process with the KBA in 2019, many considered it an unrealistic challenge for a company like ours. German homologation is both technically and administratively demanding—typically reserved for major industry players charging premium prices.

But at AVDB Moto. , determination is part of our DNA.
